A short biography of Dr. Aiguo Wang:
Dr. Aiguo Wang is a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary, Canada. He received his BSc degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2004 and M.Sc. degree at Tsinghua University in 2007, China. After working as a chemical engineer for seven years in Key Laboratory of Industrial Separation and Environment Protection in China, He started his Ph.D. degree at the University of Calgary in 2018 under the co-supervision of Dr. Hua Song and Dr. Nader Mahinpey, focusing on the catalytic co-conversion of bio-derived compounds and methane to valuable chemicals. Then he continued to work as a postdoctoral at the University of Calgary. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in Journals, including Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, ACS Catalysis, Energy Conversion & Management, Communications Chemistry, ChemComm, 2 book-chapters, and 2 patents. His research interests focus on heterogeneous catalysis, photocatalysis, chemical engineering and processing optimization, natural gas utilization, biomass valorization, and non-thermal plasma chemistry.
